David Brandyn

Sex Educator, Creator, Podcast Host

Candid conversations about sex, pleasure, health, and queer life—without the shame.

David Brandyn is a sexuality educator, content creator, podcast host, speaker, and LGBTQ+ community advocate with more than 20 years of experience in HIV prevention, sexual health education, community outreach, and queer programming.

His work has included leadership and education roles with organizations such as the Black AIDS Institute and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where he has focused on HIV/STI prevention, PrEP, PEP, Doxy-PEP, pleasure, identity, and culturally specific programming for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ communities. He has presented at NAESM, The Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit, and other national conferences on sexual health and sex education in queer communities of color.

David is also known for creating highly shareable and viral digital content about sex education, queer culture, relationships, identity, and the conversations people are often afraid to have publicly. Through short-form video, street interviews, long-form YouTube content, and his podcast Butch Queen After Dark, he blends education, humor, culture, and candid conversation in a way that makes complex or taboo subjects easier to understand and talk about.

His work has taken him to Pride celebrations, conferences, panels, retreats, community programs, and sexual-liberation events around the country as a host, moderator, educator, and speaker. He has hosted workshops, panels, and programming at queer men of color travel experiences like Blatino Oasis in Palm Springs, CA and Frolic in Provincetown, MA.

David is currently completing his bachelor’s degree at California State University, East Bay, with an expected graduation in May 2027 and a focus on gender, sexuality, and communities of color. He is also continuing his professional training toward certification as a sexuality educator.

Butch Queen After Dark is a bold, funny, and unapologetically honest podcast about sex, relationships, queer culture, identity, and everything we’re usually told not to talk about.

Each episode brings candid conversations with guests from across the LGBTQ+ community about pleasure, dating, kink, sexual health, community, and the beautifully messy parts of being grown and queer.

Come for the sex talk. Stay for the stories, laughs, and conversations that go a little deeper after dark.
